Fish and Eagle. 12/27/10
It is a nice day after last week of rains.
Last time we were here it was 5 years ago. It was steep than; it may be even steeper today.
Cat likes it so far.
Climb is getting steeper.
Loose rocks are everywhere, but we are almost on the ridge.
That was exciting.
Look there is a gypsum train going.
Our Fish picture.
And Eagle is over there.
We are comparing our trail maps.
Almost at Eagle’s top.
John is heading directly for the terra cache.
Our Eagle group.
It was steep up so it is steep down.
Somewhat flat part of this nice canyon, that will change soon we still have 1600’ to go down.
Some of the falls into mud pools.
There is even some water here.
Nice canyon with nice rocks.
We have to bypass the big waterfall.
Rocks are everywhere. Just wonder how often this place gets good earthquakes.
It is not too far from San Andreas Fault.
Down looks closer than it is. We will be running out of the daylight soon.
We made it just in time back. Wit is setting up our happy hour.
The train engineer must be wondering what is going on here in the middle of nowhere.
