Looks like everybody is enjoying the hike!?
Weather is nice, terrain not bad.
Made it to the earth geo station.
This is more interesting.
Almost at the East Butte.
Looking east.
John and his group is getting up from a different side than we did.
Since we are all together for a short while, it is a time for our group picture.
Separated again. We are continuing NW.
Going down.
Our next stop will be that sandy hill ahead (818). Then on to West Butte.
The fun part.
It is a hard climb via sand.
This is easier.
Our lunch on 818.
Wit has enough of it. Leaving for cars.
We are going for the West Butte.
The northern ridge look doable.
It is a cardio climb.
Looking back to the East Butte.

There is a nice trail to our cars.
Before we are done we will also go thru the slot.
That column is still strong.
Everybody is reunited again.
