The Headwall / Galena 9/10/2018
Mill Creek is dry in lower elevation.
Here is some water we can wade in.
Tree obstacles.
Climbing up to the waterfall bypass.
Made it under the Headwall.
Chuck wants to try the Headwall so I am going with him. Rest of the group stays low.
We are almost up, but here we got stuck by dead-end.
Time to retreat. Is this another fail attempt by us like few years back?
After lunch we are regrouping for another try.
This time we are taking the middle route.
So far so good.
Our route is to stay on yellow rocks and then turn right.
Made it!!! Hallelujah
Looking down.
Found some short rope. Not sure what it is for, going up or down?
We did not see God but we were praying not to trigger some boulder avalanche.
We made the Headwall and also the 45 min. 900 feet heavy climb to Galena.
Our group selfie on Galena.
San Gorgonio above.
San Jacinto is across.
Time to go down and chase our group.
Headwall from above, looks scary.
Made it down.
Looking back.
Our group picture minus Wayne. Where is he? He went home.
