Stage and Plane Wreck 2/15/2021
Our parking place at June Wash.
Section Marker. This is John’s #1.
John and his #2 (section marker).
Got into the canyon.
Hersch is taking a harder way down. Practicing for things to come?
Easy hikers.
Blooming agave.
Spreading out at Inner Pasture. We may find something.
Here it is: another dead rabbit. There is some covid rabbit virus going around.
At furthest section marker.
Group before the split.
We are going up to look for:
The Plane Wreck. It is all over however no fuselage.
Looks like a DC3 plane with 14 cylinder engines.
What a mess.
Will it fly?
Good place to have a lunch.
Big pistons and lot of cylinders.
One of the labels.
Everything is so heavy no wonder it crashed.
The second engine is at another place.
More stuff.
Made it up.
Our group here.
On a way up to another bump.
Our bonus SM.
Boulders on a way down.
Following the ridge.
John is in boulders.
Hersch and I will go down this steep gully instead of taking the ridge.
It was not easy but we are down.
Here is another #4 dead rabbit to compare with two life ones I saw. I am reporting that to CDFW.
Sun sets.
We are the last ones here to keep the party on!
