McCain Valley ridges loop 5/24/2021
Looks like we are entering a shooting range.
Cacti are blooming.
Crossing the ridge
On a way to Al’s cave.
Our first destination.
Off the cave.
On trail and to the next one.
Jacuzzi is empty today, too bad.
The new border fence stretches all the way here.
Found some morteros.
It is back up to the ridge.
Made it up.
There is a flyby. Don’t drop anything!
Interesting rocks are everywhere.
Huge, broken one.
Wit somehow separated from us to take ‘some’ easier route.
Big Eye boulder.
Our easy route,
With fun challenges.
Climbed up to this.
Plan is to follow this ridge to the end.
Our group minus Wit.
Some boulders to get over.
Some to squeeze under.
Looks like Mutant Ninja Turtle.
At the end of the ridge.
Lunch time is in shade.
On a way down.
There is a bird nest inside cactus.
The other side of the canyon we will take up.
On the ‘easy’ but steep way up.
That is a big rock.
Chuck is patiently waiting for us on view ledge.
Nice views from here.
Made it. Martha is getting hypnotized by spinning wind mills.
Ooops somebody is missing here! Where is John? Hope that he will recover soon and will join us for guaq.
