Raven's Nest Canyon 2/21/2022
It is a cool and windy morning, for now.
In the canyon there is no wind and it is sunny.
I climbed up off the canyon to get to this nice section marker.
It is hidden in rocks and due to its inaccessibility I may be the first person to see it since 1944.
There are lot of pigeon holes in sides but so far no ravens.
It is getting narrow…
And interesting.
Deer leg anatomy.
Climbing practice.
This is how we go up.
It is steep.
Wit turns back while John is pressing on.
Looking back.
Old chollas.
Found this one.
Not as nice as was the last one.
We are getting higher.
While looking for another SM John slips into fresh and healthy cholla.
Removing it, jumping cactus let go of John and jumped on my hand to get some fresh blood. Ouch!!!
John is still persistent to get to that SM.
Our group here with chollas removed.
On a way down.
Found more electronics. This one is from Jan 1951. Where is Kerry?
Nice teeth.
More parts.
No problem.
Almost out.
Still sunny, low wind and enjoying expired but still tasty guac.
