Goat Canyon Trestle 3/21/2022
Our trailhead is at Mortero Palms. Where are those palms? John and Wit are going to do some section markers down here.
We are heading up into those boulders.
The trail is just fine.
Martha is smiling.
We are off the trail and almost up looking into Carrizo Gorge.
Our way is down via Puff BM.
Miniature cactus is blooming.
First look at the trestle.
At Puff.
4/13/98 was my first hike with Monday group.
Our present day group.
Way down is not easy but interesting.
Almost down.
The last drop.
Chronically collapsing tunnel is still open.
This would be nice painting if some idiots wouldn’t tag it.
Somewhat wobbly boards.
In the collapsed tunnel.
This is our traditional lunch place in shade.
Since we made it first time over, way back is less stressing.
Wooden web.
Goat Canyon is our way out.
At first there is somewhat trail up.
Somebody put a rope up this fall.
No rope here.
Back at boulder country.
Cars are down there. We can see them.
Not many things are blooming. Just these miniature flowers.
All together.
Time to get some beer!
Cheers, it was a good hike!
