Sombrero Peak 4/17/2023
We are back in McCain Valley. Weather may not be that hot like last week.
There is even running water here.
Sides of the trail are nice green and yellow.
So far it is a trail walk.
It seems that it is fine with Karla who just yesterday finished 160 miles run!
We are splitting here. John, Carol and Hersch will do some SMs.
Alann, Karla and I are going to Sombrero.
Karla not only finished Badwater Ultramarathon ten times! She is also from Czech!
There it is. Sombrero Peak.
Lot of nice boulders around.
Fun boulder hopping.
Lot of flowers.
Starting to go up.
As usual small boulders change into bigger boulders.
So far so good.
Hmm.
Made it. Time to sign the register.
Are they going to push it down?
Nice view.
Our group.
One more poss.
Short skirt and sharp rocks. No problem.
Looking back.
Ready to bloom.
Nice yellow.
Blooming yucca.
More rocks.
Got into a nice big cave.
Karla can also lift rocks!
Cave view.
It was fun.
It looks so nice here.
All back together with lot of food and beer.
