Henderson Canyon 3/18/2024
Our big group before we will separate into several smaller groups.
Indian Head from the back side.
Flowers are out but not in full bloom yet.
Easy going for now.
Ridge to climb up to the Indian Head.
Not much climbing today.
Looks like a giant trilobite.
Regrouping.
That is where we are going, it is sunny there (for now).
Fresh Pampas Grass.
Canyon is getting more interesting.
Good for another picture.
After we separated our group continues up.
Got to the Rustic Canyon. Since Martha called in thunder and rain it is starting to rain!
Some have so called rain gear, some have (like me) nothing. We are turning back.
Forecast was for nice 75+.
Intricate rock walls.
Martha changed into bag lady outfit.
Desert Lavender.
Lavender close-up.
Colored rocks.
It is still raining.
Flowers like it.
Soak in the rain while you can!
Lot of these are everywhere.
Blue,
Red,
Yellow,
Prickly Pear is also blooming.
Close-up.
Another nice one.
There’s gold in them there hills.
Everybody is back, sun is back on, time for beer and refreshments.
