Mt. Tule Loop 4/29/2024
We are ready to go hiking. John, Preston and Angelika are already looking for some geocache.
Our main group.
Looking from Sacotone overlook.
Let’s go.
Is there a trail up?
Not much trail and it is steep up.
We are on top.
Our group picture on top. Later everybody else made it up.
Will continue to take the south ridge down.
Susan found a snake (not poisonous).
Snake didn’t like to be handled by Susan so we are continuing.
Looking into Carrizo Gorge.
Big cactus family with only one flower bloom.
More blooms here.
Still going down.
Nice rock.
In the saddle before going up to 3881.
Nice big rattler is defending his territory.
Our lunch place. Everybody is carefully looking where they are sitting down.
Looking to Round Mountain and Mexico.
Layered rock.
Starting to go back.
There is a fence. No problem.
Bush flower.
Some confusion here. It says Reference Mark but should say Azimuth Mark since Tule is about ½ mile away.
Back on a road.
Our campout.
Everybody is back.
