Rock Tanks Loop 1/20/2025
No off road driving today.
Just to cross the road and we are on our way.
John will do some Terry bumps, solo.
For now it is flat with lot of rocks.
Regrouping.
We need to go up and up to cross into our canyon.
Almost there. That right fork is where Rock Tanks are.
Rock Tanks here are one after another and are usually filled with rain water.
This time there is no water in tinajas anywhere.
It is a bone-yard down there.
Too sad.
Martha is emerging from climbing under boulder.
The dry pools make it somehow easier to climb over.
Our lunch place.
Back down we go.
It gets narrow into a big dry waterfall.
There may be some rocky but slides down.
It is fun.
Canyon continues.
Some crawl under rocks.
Nice canyon.
Polished boulders.
Side canyons.
Smoke Tree Canyon.
Interesting walls.
After hike party is off the wind.
