Domelands loop 1/12/2026
We have a big group today!
John’s group will go to peak 1664, our group will look for a cave we did not find last time.
This is a shortcut!
Water break and regroup time.
In our main canyon.
Nice going here.
Tall, crumbly walls around us.
Nice small sea creatures.
Off the canyon and into mud hills.
Into a new slot canyon.
Continuing up.
Going down via another slot but there is a big drop.
So, we will try to bypass it.
Retracing our steps since they ended by a big cliff.
Looking back.
We found our cave! There is the entrance.
Need some light.
Continuing, it looks like that cave did not change inside.
However, exit looks somewhat different and crumbly.
There is a big window waterfall we will get into.
Climb around to it.
This is it.
Let me see!
Another climb to get to the Wind Cave.
The Wind Cave.
Few steps and we are in.
It is time to go back.
Everybody is back; no one is lost.
Next stop is Lazy Lizard Saloon.
This place is for sale so we don’t know if we will be able to come here next year.
It is beer and waiting for pizza time.
